20,010 Monday afternoon November 22 at the Conference Hall of the Mountain Community dell’Alta Irpinia a Calitri, si è tenuto il Convegno dal titolo: “Quando la terra tremò: il terremoto del 23 novembre 1980” . L’iniziativa è stata organizzata dalle Sezioni regionali di Puglia, Basilicata e Campania della SIGEA e dalla Comunità Montana dell’Alta Irpinia ed è stato patrocinato dalla Regione Puglia, Campania e Basilicata, dalla Provincia di Avellino, dal Comune di Calitri e dai tre Ordine Regionali dei Geologi di Puglia, Campania e Basilicata.

Ha aperto i lavori il prof. Schiattarella dell’Università degli Studi della Basilicata con un’ampia presentazione dal titolo: “Assetto morfostrutturale e neotettonica delle aree dei terremoti dell’Irpinia (1980) e del Monte Vulture (1930)” . Partendo dal background delle conoscenze geologiche precedenti al sisma del 1980, il prof. Schiattarella ha messo in evidenza la stretta correlazione che esiste fra evoluzione morfologica del territorio e dinamica delle strutture tettoniche mettendo in luce i marker morfotettonici quali fondamentali indicatori dei processi geodinamici in atto. Nel corso della presentazione sono state poi illustrate nel dettaglio le strutture sismogenetiche responsible for the earthquake of 11.23.1980 and 07.23.1930 through an interesting series of faults that have been reconstructed kinematics.

Sul tema della gestione dell’emergenza si è soffermato il dott. Castenetto del Dipartimento della Protezione Civile Nazionale con l’intervento: “Il terremoto del 1980: punto di svolta scientifico e normativo” . La relazione ha suscitato particolare interesse, oltre che per i concreti casi di studio riportati, anche per i notevoli spunti di carattere applicativo cui orientare le verifiche di back-analisys. Di non secondaria importanza sono state poi le riflessioni circa lo sfasamento cronologico fra terremoti e frane indotte che hanno fondamentale importanza proprio nelle primissime fasi di gestione delle emergenze di Protezione Civile.
Ha concluso gli interventi in programma la relazione dell’ ing. Savanella del Ministero delle Infrastrutture - Ufficio Tecnico per le Dighe di Napoli: “Il controllo delle grandi dighe in Italy. Procedures laid down by earthquakes. " . In addition to defining the legal framework concerning the fleet of large dams in Italy were made to perform the procedures in the event of an earthquake in relation to the magnitude and epicentral distance. An interesting case study on the management following a seismic event was to dam Campotosto in Abruzzo, where in addition to routine checks were also installed two sets cha accelerometer which can measure both the PGA crown is on subsoil of the dam. The intervention was concluded with an overview about the seismic safety of large dams in Italy.
During the conference, thanks to prof. Schiattarella, was distributed to participants recent copy of the "Geological Map of the eastern sector of the Basin Ofanto " which was then formally handed over to Mr. President. Di Milia which took over the Community's willingness to host Montana Alta Irpinia and other such initiatives to produce the conference proceedings.
At the end of the presentations was followed by extensive discussion during the Roundtable moderated by Joachim Lena (vice-chairman of the SiGe) which was attended by John Heeley (President of the Geologists of Puglia), Raffaele Carbone (Director of the Order of Geologists of Basilicata), Carmine Di Cicco (Board Order of Geologists of Campania), Antonio Placido (Mayor of Rionero in Vulture). The meeting was closed by Dr. Di Milia, president of the Comunità Montana Alta Irpinia.
The commissioner of the Puglia Region Professor Angela Barbanente to unexpected institutional commitments could not attend the conference which, however, did not miss his contribution to testimony of the closeness to the issues addressed : "For institutional commitments have appeared I can not participate in the initiative in question. I would like to point out that I regret very much not only to the authority of the organizers and the high quality of the contributions due but especially for the highly symbolic initiative. The conference was achieved without contributions, except for printing of invitations and posters, and speakers participated free of charge without any expenses. The conference was attended by about a hundred people, including geologists, engineers, architects, engineers and local public administrators from Campania, Basilicata and Puglia. This has been a source of pride among the organizers because it was caught by the spirit of the participants carried out directly in the maximum distribution of the seismic event.

It 's the title of the meeting SIGEA Puglia organized for November 9, 2010, Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Hall "The Leopard" Via F. Mercadante cs Altamura (BA).
A first discussion on the issue of subsidence linked to the presence of cavities on a national scale there is the aftermath of the opening of the abyss in 1995 in Camaiore (Tuscany) destroyed six houses for residential purposes. In March of 2000 in Grosseto confronted by national experts on the analysis of the causes and effects of hydrogeological due to the opening of pits (also known as sinkholes in karst environment). The issue arouses wide interest, both in academia and in the workforce, in particular for issues related to the underlying causes and to those triggers, waiting for a more rational and environmentally friendly planning. The instability phenomena related to the presence of underground cavities follow one another throughout Italy causing extensive damage to property and people and therefore starts, both locally and nationally, the survey of catastrophic events. A second moment of confrontation is organized by APAT in Rome in 2004. At issue is drawing ever nearer the spheres of political and administrative decision makers who are asking the academic and professional world analysis of the phenomena and the definition of the criteria for prediction and prevention. The pits are a serious danger to people and infrastructure alla stessa stregua delle frane e delle alluvioni, e creano situazioni di dissesto idrogeologico che interessano, se pur in misura diversa, l’intero territorio nazionale. Le voragini costituiscono fattori di rischio molto elevato, in quanto nella maggior parte dei casi sono caratterizzate da eventi parossistici con rapida evoluzione, che sempre più spesso interessano aree urbanizzate e infrastrutture causando vittime ed ingenti danni.
A distanza di un anno dall’ultimo importante Workshop internazionale “I Sinkholes. Gli sprofondamenti catastrofici nell’ambiente naturale ed in quello antropizzato”, organizzato dall’ISPRA a Roma, la SIGEA ha voluto organizzare un Convegno di carattere nazionale in Puglia. In tutto il territorio regionale, infatti, eventi legati a crolli per cavità naturali ed antropiche hanno riempito le cronache degli ultimi decenni, con preoccupante frequenza negli ultimi anni - Canosa di Puglia (BT), Altamura (BA), Gallipoli (LE), Lesina (FG), Cutrofiano (LE), Barletta (BT), Ginosa (TA), Alliste (LE) -. La predisposizione geologica del territorio pugliese allo sviluppo del fenomeno carsico, associato alla diffusa attività di estrazione in sotterraneo di materiali litoidi, ha fatto sì che spesso si creasse una forte interferenza tra attività antropiche e presenza di cavità, con la conseguente possibilità di apertura di voragini in superficie.
Sin dall’antichità la Puglia è stata caratterizzata da fenomeni del genere, legati all’evoluzione degli ambienti carsici. Un esempio di cui si ha testimonianza storica è il “Gurgo” di Andria, una dolina da crollo di vaste dimensioni, la cui formazione è citata in un atto notarile anonimo su pergamena, nel quale si legge chiaramente che: gli abitanti di Trimoggia abbandonarono i luoghi nel 1104 a causa di un "casma" apertosi nel terreno.
E’ evidente che gli aspetti sociali ed economici legati a questo tipo di dissesto idrogeologico richiedono necessariamente una attenta analisi geologica dei luoghi a supporto della pianificazione territoriale, analisi che attraverso la descrizione dei fenomeni e delle tecniche di individuazione, rilevazione e monitoraggio permetta di definire le migliori soluzioni progettuali per un risanamento statico del sottosuolo o per una valorizzazione di tali cavità, senza tuttavia prescindere dalla sicurezza dei luoghi.

A lthough the absence of thought is thought. And I do not give up! Because I want to jack with my "empty", one of the thoughts così “affollati” da sembrare inesistenti… una “nube” densa…. troppo fitta per dare spazio alla coerenza ed alle parole “giuste”.
E anche mettere nero su bianco aiuta…. me lo ripeto spesso. Può essere terapeutico, almeno quanto può esserlo il parlare con una persona disposta ad ascoltarti, e se ti fermi almeno una la trovi. Ma riesci a vederla soltanto se ti fermi.
I l mondo assume forme e colori differenti, a seconda della prospettiva da cui lo osservi, e i pensieri sono la nostra prospettiva.
E ogni tanto fa bene riveder SI e riascoltar SI . Ha ragione Laura quando dice che spesso il problema sta “dentro” di noi e non “fuori”. Scontato? E’ strano come oggi più che mai ripensi a molte cose “scontate” e le riveda come se fossero “rivelazioni” uniche. Non si è mai abbastanza “vecchi” per mettersi davanti allo specchio e “guardarsi”, senza voltare lo sguardo… fino in fondo. Senza trovare scuse o “inventare” alibi. Nessuno si proclami “vittima”, perché una volta nella vita, almeno una volta, è stato “carnefice”, consapevolmente o inconsapevolmente. E oggi voglio pensare fino in fondo al tempo perso, alle occasioni buttate via, alle scelte sbagliate, all’amore calpestato, e non voglio cercare "colpevoli" o presunti "responsabili" dei miei errori…. Vorrei solo riuscire a "vivere" fino in fondo tutto l’amore e tutto il dolore…. tutto ciò di cui, alla fine, sono stato io l’artefice…. E se riuscirò a farlo, forse riuscirò a crescere quel tanto che basta per poter dire che niente è stato inutile.

Why Does My Period Burn
Non è che volessi cambiare look al blog….. ma è successo tutto così velocemente….. senza lasciarmi il tempo di prenderne coscienza.
Il Signor Blogger aveva deciso che per il mio codice html non ci poteva essere futuro, e dopo la banalissima aggiunta di un nuovo elemento grafico, ha permesso che si sballasse definitivamente e irrimediabilmente, imponendomi una rivoluzione estetica.
Che poi mica è stata proprio una rivoluzione…. insomma alla fine i colori, gli abbinamenti, l’aspetto generale non sono cambiati.
Un po’ come nella vita…. sembra che ti costringa a cambiare chissà cosa, ma alla fine ti ritrovi sempre faccia a faccia con te stesso, quello di sempre… e che palle!!!
Troppo profonda sta riflessione, non ero più abituato a tanta PROFONDEZZA….

The work is the first ever of its kind, since part of the scientific knowledge currently available geological, geosites identifies some of the most significant of Puglia and highlights the scientific value, landscape , historical and cultural heritage. A first step towards so costruzione del futuro Catasto regionale dei Geositi, così come previsto dalla L.R. 33/2009 “Tutela e valorizzazione del patrimonio geologico e speleologico” .
Il volume è il risultato di una lunga attività e confronto del Gruppo di Lavoro “Geositi” della SIGEA Sezione Puglia rappresentato da:

The SIGEA Puglia is one of the actuators project "Soil and beyond ..." , funded under the ESF Puglia PO 2007/2013 - Ob. 1 Convergence - Axis Human Capital IV. The duration of the project is March 2010 - June 2011.
The project, focusing on the issue of soil conservation, helping to support the prevention of risks of environmental degradation through integrated interventions, implemented with a multi-directional approach, involving various local actors.
The actions aim to promote a series of reflections on the environmental resources of the province of Bari (understood as territorial extension prior to the formation of the sixth province of Puglia), and critical in those waters, suggesting new forms of management in order to safeguard and protect the funds Soil, Water, Agriculture and wisdom of the land use in line with the principles upon which the economy of the province of Bari and also the region of Puglia.

The National Conference "Geological Heritage: a resource to protect and enhance " held on 29 and 30 April at the Stone of Castaldi (PZ) and organized by the Department of Geological Sciences of the University of Basilicata, the SIGEA and the Order of Geologists of Basilicata, was another big step towards the promotion and dissemination of geological culture at national level.
The conference was opened by the report at the invitation of Prof. William AP Wimbledon, President of PROGEO "The European Association of the Conservation of the Geological Heritage", entitled "Geosites - A mechanism for protection, integrating national and international valuation of heritage sites, so as to reveal truly global Significance. "

During the presentation he started from the context in that gave birth to the new LR 33/2009, which protects and enhances the geological heritage and caving, and have been highlighted in the goals and strengths. In the second part of the statement we wanted to show the way forward for the effective implementation of the LR or the opportunities they offer the Regional Territorial Landscape Plan (PPTR) Puglia in the approval process, the many forms of nature conservation and biodiversity that synergy should be involved, creating a truly alternative and sustainable tourism.

Sento il bisogno di respirare aria nuova.
Sento il bisogno di respirare ancora me stesso, quello che sono davvero, quello che so di essere, senza ombre e senza paura di mostrarmi.
Quello che è riuscito a vivere e a sopravvivere ai calci in culo ed alle proprie frustrazioni.... che ha saputo subire senza legacci e senza parole inutili, folli o troppo razionali.... che ha dato ed ha preso.... che ha ricevuto senza pagare e che ha pagato senza ricevere.... che si aspettava molto.... che ha trovato tutto.... o niente.... passando oltre.... quello che si è fermato giusto in tempo.... e per il giusto tempo..... che è andato oltre.... che ha bevuto in un sorso solo, dolce e amaro, ed ha dimenticato..... quello che non riesce a dimenticare.... ma non riesce a odiare....
Esco ancora....
C’è il mare che mi aspetta.... c’è ancora.... là, per me.... che mi porta lontano e mi avvicina....
E ripercorro.... rivedo.... riassaporo.... e mi tuffo ancora nel presente.... e respiro.
Chi c’è c’è.... chi ha paura di esserci si fotta.... chi vuole fingere di esserci capirà che è inutile....
Esco.... adesso.... perché è il momento giusto.
Mi hanno rotto le palle gli attori, le attrici, le scenografie e le comparse.
Oggi esco, e voglio godermi il panorama dell’umanità…. still in flight.
